Nick Wright has reservations about Tyreek Hill. The analyst shared his take on the veteran wide receiver potentially reuniting with Patrick Mahomes in the coming weeks.
On his YouTube show, Wright criticized Hill’s character after he was found liable in a civil trial.

“My take on Tyreek Hill, whether he does or does not return to the Chiefs, and no matter what the result of that civil trial was, has really never changed. People can judge me however they want,” said Wright.

“There are some characters in the NFL. I think even by that very kind standard, Tyreek Hill is outside of those bounds and has a track record of being, I guess I have to say allegedly, but it’s just what I believe, one of the more dangerous and violent people that plays the sport.”
According to ESPN, a six-person jury found Hill liable on two counts of battery stemming from incidents involving his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro in January 2024 and April 2025. The jury found the former Chiefs pass catcher not liable for the remaining eight claims.
Vaccaro was awarded $500,000 in compensatory damages, but the jury denied her request for punitive damages. Hill faces no prison or jail time following the trial.
The report adds that an NFL spokesperson told ESPN that Vaccaro’s allegations against Hill remain “under review of the personal conduct policy.”
Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill spent five seasons together
Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill were teammates for half a decade in Kansas City, with the superstar quarterback throwing the ball to the perennial Pro Bowler wide receiver consistently for four of those seasons. Mahomes became the Chiefs’ starting quarterback in 2018.
The pair regularly connected for numerous deep-threat touchdowns, turning the Chiefs into perennial deep postseason threats. They were instrumental in the franchise’s Super Bowl LIV win over the San Francisco 49ers. Mahomes earned MVP honors for his efforts.
The partnership ended in March 2022 as Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins, before signing a bumper $120 million contract. Mahomes has remained with the Chiefs and won two more Super Bowl rings.
Hill and Mahomes seem to share a close friendship despite no longer being teammates. The All-Pro duo regularly exchange banter on social media while the press links Hill to a return to Kansas City via free agency.
Hill is currently a free agent after a four-year stint with the Miami Dolphins. The Chiefs have a number of injuries at wide receiver, but it remains to be seen whether Andy Reid pushes for a reunion with Mahomes’ former favorite deep ball target.
