WWE has made a lot of changes to the company over the past few years, but it seems that there could be some changes coming for NXT with the announcement that Darren Young has made his return to the Performance Center.
The former Tag Team Champion recently announced on his Instagram page that he was released by the company nine years ago and that he was finally back.
Thanks for the submission!
“Nine years ago today, I was released from @WWE. Today, I’m back at @wwenxt, fighting back tears of joy every time I pull up to the Performance Center and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the next generation. I’m always hearing what WWE is looking for NOW I’m able to see it for myself and be a sponge in this environment. I once stood in this environment, beating on my craft alongside incredible coaches, and quickly made my way to the main roster. Now, I’m back sharing those experiences and helping shape the future. And when you talk about NXT, don’t forget the ORIGINAL NXT! MR. NO DAYS OFF baby! Nine years later, still standing, still inspiring, and STILL NO DAYS OFF! thank you for the opportunity. You know what time it is? IT’S TIME TO GO TO WORK!” he wrote.
Darren Young was a popular star during his run, and it came as a huge shock when he was released, but now he is finally back.
Darren Young wants to help the next generation of WWE
There appears to be a number of old faces returning, as the company looks to welcome the next generation.
There has been talk of Michael Hayes being replaced by Robert Roode, as well as Bruce Pritchard retiring, which shows that the company is looking at a fresh new slate in the coming months.
Crown Jewel is on the horizon, and it seems that when the Saudi Arabia deal comes to an end following WrestleMania 43, there could be some major changes to the company as new faces are brought in and it’s time for old ones to finally step aside.
