Twitch and Kick streamer Zack “Asmongold” has commented on Hasan “HasanAbi”‘s $72 million defamation lawsuit against Scott Jennings, saying that “if he loses, he looks like an idiot.” For those unaware, HasanAbi is suing Scott Jennings for a statement made on August 11, 2026, when the CNN panelist claimed on X that Hasan said, “USA should resume lynchings against Black people.”
According to Hasan, Scott Jennings’ statements harmed his reputation, humiliated him in public, caused emotional distress, mental anguish, and jeopardized his professional interests.
Commenting on the Turkish-American personality’s decision to take legal action against Jennings, Asmongold stated that if HasanAbi wins, it will “create a culture” that makes it “justifiable” to “sue him.”
Asmongold elaborated:
“‘Can Tectone sue Hasan as well?’ Well, that’s why I think that, in my opinion, if we see Hasan win this lawsuit, I think it’s going to be so funny. Because then it’s going to be, basically, a complete *******… what’s the word for it? Like, an open season for other people to sue him for defamation. So, I think that if he loses, he looks like an idiot. And if he wins, he creates a, you know, a culture around himself that now it’s justified to sue him. And it also makes him a way less sympathetic defendant if he does get sued for defamation, if he previously sued somebody else for defamation. It will make him look worse. Yeah.”
Asmongold believes HasanAbi’s defamation lawsuit against Scott Jennings could result in a “really funny” situation
Asmongold continued the conversation, explaining why he believed HasanAbi’s lawsuit against Scott Jennings could result in a “really funny” situation. The former OTK (One True King) member cited Ethan Klein’s lawsuit against Twitch streamer Denims as an example and said:
“I could imagine a situation because it’s really funny because, like, Hasan was doing victory laps because Ethan’s lawsuit – the judge that presided over Ethan’s lawsuit against Denims referenced Ethan’s lawsuit in, what do you call it? Referenced Ethan’s lawsuit that he originally had 10 years ago that he won, as a justification for why Ethan couldn’t win the lawsuit today. Right? And so, I could easily see this happening with Hasan as well. Right?”
As of this writing, Hasan has not responded to Asmongold’s comments about the defamation lawsuit against Scott Jennings.
