Rey Mysterio is one of WWE’s biggest legends, but it seems that there have been times when he has decided to prank the locker room.
Mysterio’s career spans almost four decades, and in that time, several wrestlers have been able to share some hilarious stories about time on the road with the Master of the 619.
Thanks for the submission!
Former WWE official Mike Chioda recently spoke to David Otunga on The Wednesday Hang, where he revealed one of Mysterio’s biggest pranks.
“Rey had this appearance in Shanghai somewhere in China. Then he was at the arena doing something. I remember we pulled up in that bus, and there was a drug-testing sign up. When we seen these drug-testing signs up in the locker rooms and everywhere, we just fell apart. We fell to our knees.”
He went on to note that everyone believed they would fail.
“Rey’s like, ‘What are you going to fail for?’ I’m done. Everybody. I remember we were drinking vinegar. We were trying to go get vinegar. Everybody’s running around drinking all this different stuff. I’m like, ‘What’s that do?’ ‘I don’t know. I’m just taking it.’”
Chioda went on to reveal that he believed he would be suspended.
“I see my life going through. I’m like, ‘I already been suspended once. Now I’m going to be suspended again. I’m done. My job’s done.’ It was a rib by Rey Mysterio. That was one of the worst ribs in my life almost.”
Rey Mysterio has been known to prank WWE stars
It seems that Rey Mysterio is a big fan of ribbing fellow stars, since Dominik Mysterio, his own son, recently revealed that when he was attacked by Brock Lesnar back in 2019, his dad didn’t give him a heads-up.
He didn’t know it would be Lesnar who was attacking him, and he was new to the business at this point, so he had to take a beating from The Beast.
It seems that even his family is not safe from his ribs, with his daughter, Aalyah, also making her way through the ranks in the company at present.
