Having secured their first main-stage European win in 16 years, Levski Sofia will return to the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium on Thursday to the backing of increasingly optimistic fans as they host Jagiellonia Białystok in round four of the 2026-27 UEFA Europa League league phase. Both sides have picked up just one win apiece from their opening three games and will be looking to secure a positive result this midweek to put themselves in a more comfortable position midway through the league phase.
It has been a tournament of gradual improvement for Levski Sofia, who fell to a 1-0 defeat against Red Bull Salzburg in the opening round, earned a point in a 1-1 draw against NEC Nijmegen in the second before claiming a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen last month.
Thanks for the submission!
The Bulgarian side have since extended their unbeaten run in the domestic league to 12 games and will hope to carry that form into Thursday’s encounter as they look to consolidate their place in the top 24.
Jagiellonia Białystok, meanwhile, have endured a less impressive start to their debut Europa League campaign, with their only win so far coming against fellow debutants Ararat-Armenia. An opening-round loss to Olympiacos and a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Belgian outfit Anderlecht last time out have left the Polish side sitting in 27th place after three games.
Considering that the visitors have also suffered six defeats in 12 domestic league games and still have to face the likes of Sunderland, Crystal Palace, and Olympique Lyonnais, significant improvements will be needed ahead of Thursday’s encounter.
