WWE has lost some of its best tag teams over the past few months, with The New Day’s exit still being seen as a massive fumble.
That being said, on the eve of Crown Jewel, it has been revealed that The Creed Brothers have officially walked away from the company after their deals expired.
Thanks for the submission!
The duo, who made up American Made with Chad Gable and Ivy Nile, have most recently been wrestling on NXT.
It was revealed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful earlier today that their exit was by mutual decision after their contracts expired.
It’s unclear what this now means for Ivy Nile, who has been associated with the duo for much of her career. Nile herself has been wrestling on Main Event in recent months but appeared on NXT last month. Nile hasn’t appeared on-screen since her appearance on NXT on October 6th.
The Creed Brothers were seen as a popular team on WWE RAW
After Chad Gable chose to pursue a career as a masked superstar and walked away from American Made, WWE stopped booking the team on RAW, but they were still considered to be popular with fans.
It was a shock that Gable didn’t return to the group after he was unmasked and the new El Grande Americano took his place on AAA. American Made was a good place for Chad Gable to push forward, and now that he’s lost the Intercontinental Championship, it could have been a stable for him to return to.
As noted, Ivy Nile’s WWE future remains unclear since she has been working with the duo for a long time. The Creed Brothers are real-life brothers and have respectively been part of the company for five and six years after signing in 2020 and 2021.
The duo made a name for themselves in NXT before making their way up to the main roster, but after creative ideas dried up, they returned to the NXT brand. It will be interesting to see what is next for the real-life brothers, since many believe he could offer any MMA or wrestling promotion something different.
