Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has no desire to leave the club during the ongoing summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The Norway international had an injury-plagued 2025/26 season with the Gunners, making just nine goal contributions across all competitions.

There has been speculation that the Gunners could sell him for the right price, but The Athletic dismissed it with an update earlier today.

A recent report claimed that Odegaard could follow Leandro Trossard to Turkey, but it has been deemed ‘inaccurate’ by The Athletic.

The 27-year-old is presently fully focused on the World Cup campaign with Norway, while he remains ‘very happy’ at the Gunners too.

Meanwhile, manager Mikel Arteta also rates the Norwegian highly despite his struggles over the past year due to regular injuries.

The Spanish tactician is intent on keeping his captain and has no desire to part ways with him during the summer transfer window.

Odegaard looks poised to stay with the Gunners next term.
