Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was asked about the Premier League title race following the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Gunners returned to the top of the league standings after a superb defensive display against the Reds. The Merseyside giants did not muster a single shot on target over 96 minutes.

With the result, Arsenal are now three points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the summit and look good value to extend the lead, given the Cityzens have hit a rough patch with successive losses.

Despite this, Arteta believes it is too early to speak about the title race, he told Sky Sports after the club’s first win at Anfield in 14 years:

“Today is too early. Let’s enjoy this incredible victory with the players and staff and tomorrow we start to prepare for another big, big night in Prague.”

The Gunners will now shift their focus to the Champions League. They have another tricky away game coming up against Slavia Prague on the road on Wednesday night.
