Genshin Impact has finally released Mitya as a playable character. He is a 5-star Electro unit that uses a Catalyst in combat. Mitya’s signature weapon is one of the best ones in the game since it provides a ton of CRIT DMG bonus. That said, his C1 is also amazing since it gives him an extra beacon and buffs the active character. This may make it difficult for most players to choose between the two.
This article covers Mitya’s C1 and signature weapon at R1, and briefly discusses which one you should pull in Genshin Impact.
Should you go for Mitya’s C1 or R1 in Genshin Impact?
Mitya’s C1
Mitya’s first Constellation has the following effects:
- The maximum number of Gradient Beacons Mitya can carry increases to 5. Using the Elemental Skill Principle: Variable Detection also creates 1 Gradient Beacon.
- While the Detection Core is present, the active character’s CRIT DMG increases by 40%.
- Mitya regenerates 10 Elemental Energy when a Gradient Beacon is created. This effect can be triggered once every 8s.

Mitya’s R1

Mitya’s signature weapon is called the Starsealed Edict, and it has the following stats at level 90:
- Base ATK: 542
- Second stat: CRIT DMG 88.2%
Additionally, it has the following passive effects at R1:
- Increases CRIT DMG by 24%.
- The wielder gains the Crystal Compounding effect when they use their Elemental Skill, increasing Elemental Mastery by 48 for 20s. During this time, the wielder gains a stack of Law of Combustion when a party member triggers an Elemental Reaction. Each stack increases Elemental Mastery by an additional 24. Max 3 stacks. These stacks last until Crystal Compounding ends or the equipping character uses their Elemental Skill again.
- Radiance: Stellar-Conduct: Each Law of Combustion stack also increases the equipping character’s Stellar-Conduct CRIT DMG by 12%.
- This effect can be triggered even when the wielder is off-field.
Mitya’s C1 vs R1: Which is better in Genshin Impact?
Overall, Mitya’s C1 and R1 have similar value, and it ultimately comes down to which you prefer more. His C1 solves his energy issues, makes it easier to maintain his beacons, and gives some CRIT DMG bonus. Meanwhile, his R1 gives him more raw stats. That said, obtaining Mitya’s C1 will also get you one step closer to his C2, so it might be a better option. You are also likely to get more Constellations for Valeriy while pulling for Mitya’s extra copies.
