Danhausen has successfully “resurrected” a WWE Hall of Famer after he was not seen in the company since 1993. This is something only the former AEW star could pull off.
The Very Nice Very Evil star is one of the most enigmatic stars in the company. Ever since he lifted the curse from the New York Knicks and helped them win their first NBA Championship in 53 years, his fans have been thinking that he can do anything. And it seems like something like that has happened again.
Thanks for the submission!
During a Halloween Special Stream where the former AEW star was seen ‘fixing’ the arm of Matt Cardona, he was joined by none other than the Boogeyman and WWE Hall of Famer Papa Shango.
He later took to X, formerly Twitter to send out a message to all of his fans about how he brought back Papa Shango. He wrote:
“Not seen since 1993 in WWE, Danhausen has resurrected Papa Shango.”
Jim Ross sheds light on Danhausen’s AEW run
Danhausen had a mixed bag of a time in AEW. Despite being a fan favorite, he was not used in a way that was pleasing to him. He was always on the periphery and not given enough screen time.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who is also an AEW commentator, spoke about the Very Nice Very Evil star’s struggles and said that his current workplace is much better for him. Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, he said:
“Good for him. He’s a young guy. And if he was ever going to have a legit chance to become a star, this is it. Yeah, absolutely. I’m sure now he wishes he had moved on that persona. He did, but he didn’t. And now it’s just too late. I think Tony’s probably more about the wrestling and I think WWE’s more about the revenue. That’s an interesting analogy. Can’t say as I disagree with it.”
So far, Danhausen’s move to WWE has turned out to be a hit for him and also for the fans and the company.
