Andrew McCutchen’s wife, Maria McCutchen, split the family Halloween album into two posts, and the captions do the introducing. In their first post on Instagram, boasting 32.7k followers, Maria shared a series of images.
“Family Halloween party part 1🎃💚🧚” Maria McCutchen wrote on her Instagram account.

The second post kept the phrasing and changed the mood. “Family Halloween party round 2! 🔥✨” The fairy emoji at the end of that first caption is the tell. Maria’s costume is a green corset dress styled as a fairy, the outfit the photos are built around.
Andrew McCutchen matched her look, sporting a light green outfit, a T-shirt and dark green pants with a cap. Their children dressed in coordinated fairy outfits with wings attached to the back.
Halloween has been a family project for years. Cut4 ranked the couple’s 2012 effort, half-skeleton makeup for Andrew McCutchen and a superhero look for Maria, among the best player costumes of that October, back when the two were dating and he was in his first stint with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The couple is parents to five children. Steel Stefan arrived in November 2017, Armani X on Christmas Eve 2019, Avé Maria in October 2021, Italia Maria in March 2024, and Suede in December 2025.
The McCutchens live in Pittsburgh, where the baseball outfielder spent the first nine seasons of his career and then returned for three more. That second stint ended after 2025, when he appeared in 135 games, 120 of them as a designated hitter, and hit .239 with 13 home runs.
In March 2026, he signed a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers. He was drafted 11th overall in 2005, won the National League MVP in 2013, and hit his 300th career home run on April 14, 2024, at Citizens Bank Park.
Andrew McCutchen’s Wife Maria Celebrates Daughter’s Birthday with Heartfelt Message
Halloween came a few weeks after another date on the family calendar, marked with the same emotion. Andrew McCutchen’s wife, Maria, celebrated their baby girl’s birthday with a heartfelt message on Instagram.
“Happy 5th birthday to my girl👑 Avé Maria, you are my soul!” Maria McCutchen wrote.
Avé is the couple’s third child and first daughter, born in October 2021, with two older brothers and a younger sister and brother. Her birthday opens a crowded stretch.
Steel’s falls in late November, and Suede and Armani were born three days apart, on Dec. 21 and Dec. 24, so the final quarter of the year runs on parties, cakes and, judging by the last week of October, costumes.
The couple’s own story started at PNC Park. Andrew and Maria met in 2009, when she was part of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Cannonball Crew fan engagement group.
The duo dated for about four years before he proposed during a December 2013 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” They married in 2014.
