Fresh off a dominant performance in the domestic league, PSV Eindhoven return to the Philips Stadion on Wednesday to welcome Club Brugge in the fourth round of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League league phase. Both clubs enjoyed positive outings on matchday three, setting the stage for a clash between two sides looking to build on their recent successes.
PSV Eindhoven were in high spirits heading into their league phase opener in September, having registered four consecutive Eredivisie wins, but they had to settle for a point as their contest with Shakhtar Donetsk ended 1-1. Matchday two proved even less fruitful for the Eredivisie champions, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzig.
Thanks for the submission!
However, the Boeren finally got off the mark last time out with a 1-0 victory over Porto. The modest scoreline belied an end-to-end affair at the Estádio do Dragão, where both teams created plenty of chances, but Guus Til’s second-half strike ultimately proved decisive.
PSV’s most recent outing saw them thrash Willem II Tilburg 7-0 in the Dutch top flight, with seven different players getting on the scoresheet.
Club Brugge, meanwhile, have been one of the surprise packages in the Champions League so far. A thoroughly impressive performance in their 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa on the opening day suggested Ivan Leko’s men were capable of something special, and they have since justified that promise with eight consecutive wins across all competitions.
After a historic 4-3 victory at the famed San Siro in the second round, Blauw-Zwart produced another commanding display last time out, dispatching Ligue 1 side Lens 3-0.
Goals from Hans Vanaken, Joaquin Seys, and Carlos Forbs secured the points for the Belgian champions, while veteran goalkeeper Yann Sommer also earned plaudits for making several key saves to keep the French side at bay.

PSV Eindhoven vs Club Brugge Prediction
While the Boeren’s home advantage makes them favorites for Wednesday’s encounter, Club Brugge’s performances on the continental stage this season suggest they are more than capable of taking the game to stronger opponents.
There is little to separate these two sides, and they may have to settle for a share of the spoils.
Prediction: PSV Eindhoven 2-2 Club Brugge
