An update has just surfaced on Toni Storm following her absence from the promotion. There have been teases about her imminent return, and the report has provided some clarity on this.
A few weeks ago at WrestleDream, some content creators and media who were at the show received mysterious cassette tapes. Upon listening to these, they ended up containing information about the Timeless One. These contained recordings of Storm in some of the moments in her life. There were five tapes in total, given to different individuals.
Fightful Select has just given some information about the Toni Storm Tapes. Despite the teases, they confirmed that Storm’s return to AEW is not imminent. This seems to be only the start of elements related to the 4-time women’s world champion being featured. Apart from the tapes, more hints related to her could begin to surface in time.

Aztrid Pizarro was the first of the content creators to post about the cassette tapes, as she also posted the contents of these on social media. The others who received the other tapes have now also posted about them.
Toni has caught wind of this and has begun reposting the photos and videos from these content creators on her Instagram account. She has been generally inactive on social media, with her previous posts being from the last time she was on-screen in AEW.
Toni Storm has not been seen on-screen since AEW Revolution back in March, when she took on Marina Shafir in singles action. They were set for a rematch one week later, but Toni was written off with the backstage attack angle. Since then, her entire situation has been shrouded in mystery, as the reason for her absence has not been noted, and a timeline for her return has yet to be revealed.
