Tonight on WWE RAW, on the go-home show for the Crown Jewel PLE, a major title match took place. It was a one-on-one match for the Intercontinental Title between the champion Chad Gable and challenger Ethan Page. The All Ego one had been demanding a title match against Gable and when he finally got one, he capitalized on it and became the new champion.
After weeks of backstage confrontations and in-ring assaults, Ethan Page has finally gotten a shot at the Intercontinental title. The champion and the All Ego one had wrestled each other on multiple occasions, but never one-on-one. Last week on RAW, Page teamed up with Big Cass and the duo defeated the team of Gable and Dragon Lee. Thus, Page earned himself a title match.
Thanks for the submission!
From the moment the bell rang, All Ego Ethan Page had been targeting the injured neck region of Gable. Gable suffered a neck injury last week when Page hit the Ego Plex and the Intercontinental Champion landed on his neck. Mid-way through the match, Page had inadverdantly exposed the top turnbuckle. At one point, Gable attempted to lock in the Ankle Lock. In an attempt to counter the move, Page pushed the champion to the turnbuckle and Gable got his neck slammed on the exposed turnbuckle. All Ego then hit the Ego Plex and pinned Gable to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion.
After making his WWE RAW debut back in April, Ethan Page has finally captured his first major championship on the main roster.
