A multi-time champion in WWE has made a bold declaration. He has labeled Tony Khan the best boss he has ever worked for since becoming a wrestler and even noted one reason why he thought so.
Dax Harwood has gotten to compete for several top promotions around the world, but he is known for his stints with both WWE and AEW. He spent 8 years with the Stamford-based promotion alongside Cash Wheeler. In 2020, they became All-Elite and have been with the company since.
During FTR‘s appearance on Going Ringside, Dax Harwood was asked about working for Tony Khan. He claimed that Khan was the best boss he’s ever worked for and noted how he was someone who was not focused on the numbers in everything he did. He mentioned how all the talent in his company was well regarded and valued.
“I had to work literally my whole life and I think Tony’s [Khan] the greatest boss I’ve ever worked for. I feel that other wrestling companies, myself and Cash [Wheeler] might’ve worked for, you were just a number, and I think that Tony Khan actually takes people’s abilities, but also what they can contribute, their contributions to his company, he takes that to heart and he is so grateful for it. And a man that’s worth 13 billion dollars doesn’t have to be grateful for it. [11:16-11:49]
Tony Khan is in high spirits heading into an upcoming partnership
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is set to be acquired by Paramount Skydance. This has led to some concern about AEW’s TV deal and whether it is in jeopardy. This is due to Paramount having some ties to TKO Group.
Dave Meltzer reported on the Wrestling Observer Radio recently that Tony Khan had a meeting with Paramount Skydance in Los Angeles. He mentioned that TK was in high spirits afterwards.
“And what I could say is, I don’t know any of the details yet, but I do know that he came out of the meetings extremely happy, much happier than he has been about this. He’s always been happy about this relationship. He’s always been beaming about it from day one. But he definitely came out of these meetings the happiest he’s been,” he said. [H/T: RingsideNews]
It seems that despite some concerns, AEW is in a good place now, and Tony is one of the reasons why. They have been putting on great shows recently, and their momentum is going strong heading into the final stretch of 2026.
