What did Kyedae say about American politics? Asmongold says she “deserves” the hate for her comments

Twitch streamer and popular Valorant creator Kyedae recently shared a series of political opinions online ahead of the United States midterm elections, scheduled for November 3, 2026. The streamer touched on the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), global conflicts, racism, and transphobia in one post. Soon after, Zack “Asmongold” reacted, criticizing her for speaking out.

For context, in a Twitch livestream on October 31, 2026, Kyedae, who is a Canadian-born streamer of Japanese and Ukrainian descent, encouraged her viewers in the US to vote during the midterms:

“Chat, for those of you guys who are in the US, please make sure to go vote. Okay, it’s actually so ****ing scary.”

She then explained that she’s on a visa and therefore cannot vote. The streamer then went on to express her political beliefs, saying she does not consider herself Republican and that she does not align herself with Donald Trump:

“I am not a Republican; I’m sure you guys all know this. I actually care about people. Sorry, this is gonna, this is gonna get clipped out of context, and we’re gonna drag my ***. But the thing that’s really sad to me is like… many people voted for Trump and then didn’t realize what was actually gonna happen.”

Later, in a post online shared on November 1, Kyedae shared a selfie with a caption that elaborated on her political beliefs and defended her right to express her personal views, which touched on topics such as immigration, human rights, and social justice, while pushing back against online hostility and misrepresentation:

“**** ICE. Free Palestine. Protect immigrants and refugees. Protect gay and trans people. Stand against racism, homophobia, transphobia, genocide, and the dehumanization of innocent people. Human rights are for everyone. No exceptions. I’ve always stood firm in my beliefs, and that’s not going to change. I’m tired of having my character misrepresented simply because I choose to speak openly about what I believe in.”

Then, touching on the backlash she received for expressing her thoughts on the midterm elections in her initial broadcast, she suggested that disagreeing with her opinions does not warrant “relentlessly directing hatred” toward her:

“You don’t have to agree with my political views, and I don’t expect everyone to. But disagreeing with someone doesn’t justify relentlessly directing hatred toward them. I’m not going to compromise my values to make myself more palatable to others. You are entitled to your opinions, just as I am to mine.”

Asmongold reacted to her response, saying Kyedae deserved the backlash against her:

“I’m glad people are calling her out on this. I think she deserves to be called out on this. I hope it continues…”

“She’s gonna lose her visa”: Asmongold reacts to Kyedae’s political message

Reacting to the drama, controversial streamer and political commentator Asmongold mentioned the backlash Kyedae received after publicly separating from former Valorant professional Tyson “TenZ” in early February 2026. Asmongold suggested that after her recent political takes, the streamer “deserves” the criticism:

“She’s gonna lose her visa. (‘This is the girl that ****ed TenZ over and had a terrible take. Surprise, surprise,’ said a viewer in the chatbox) I mean, like, she’s already gotten a lot of hate, but now, at least, I feel like she deserves it.”

Asmongold further went on to suggest that Kyedae is attempting to “collect the infinity gauntlet of virtue signalling” by expressing her views.

In late September 2026, Kyedae broke her silence and confirmed a return to streaming months after breaking up with TenZ.
