This week’s episode of WWE NXT featured the debut of an up-and-coming star. The talent battled fan-favorite superstar Lizzy Rain.
The name being discussed is Chantel Monroe. Since 2024, Monroe has been wrestling on NXT house shows, EVOLVE, and WWE Main Event. On October 6, she competed in a star-studded battle royal to determine the No. 1 Contender for Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship. Tonight, the 26-year-old wrestled her first televised one-on-one bout on the black-and-silver show.

Recently, Chantel Monroe got under the skin of some superstars due to her brash attitude. Hence, Lizzy Rain attempted to teach the debutant a lesson when they squared off in a one-on-one match tonight. Rain had a strong start in the showdown, taking down Monroe with a Springboard Elbow and a Fisherman Suplex. However, Monroe bounced back with a solid neckbreaker.
Despite suffering some damage, Lizzy Rain managed to regain control with a series of chops in the corner followed by a massive Spinebuster. Chantel Monroe arguably struggled to deal with the in-ring speed of Rain. However, she reversed a roll-up attempt and used the ropes for leverage to secure an unexpected pinfall win.
The match marked the third consecutive loss for Lizzy Rain on television. Rain must find a way to regain momentum if she aims to win a championship in WWE NXT.
