Darby Allin has just pulled off another major feat this year, ahead of another gruesome match in AEW. He has entered a competition outside the ring and was able to clear it.
As a wrestler, Allin has been known for his willingness to put his body on the line. At times, he has pulled off spots that have been unheard of and takes huge punishment during his matches. But his resolve and him outlasting his opponents is what leads to victories for him. This is the same case outside the ring, as he enjoys thrilling and death-defying activities that push him to his limit.
Darby Allin conquered Mount Everest last year and has had his fair share of record-breaking stunts. He revealed earlier today on Instagram that he joined the NYC Marathon without training and completed the 26.2-mile course in 5 hours and 35 minutes. Now he was looking ahead to Blood and Guts, where it will almost be a guarantee that his body will be pushed to its limit once more.
“NYC marathon complete! 5:35:14 I wanted to challenge myself and not train at all and see what happened what a wild experience now time for blood and guts!” Allin posted.
Darby Allin and his mentee are focused ahead of Blood and Guts
At Blood and Guts this coming Wednesday, Darby Allin is teaming up with his mentee Steven Borden, Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, and the Young Bucks as they take on members of the Don Callis Family in a six-on-six brutal contest.
A few days ago on AEW Fright Night Dynamite, Borden and Allin appeared on-screen for a backstage promo. The second-generation star mentioned that it was fully his decision to compete in a match like this despite his injury scare at All Out. He was fully aware of what was at stake and the possible repercussions.
“But the biggest question is, why after getting stretchered out unconscious of that arena in Chicago, why is my first match back going to be Blood and Guts? You and I don’t know each other very well, Don, and it sounds like you think I’m being forced into this. But maybe you should consider that I wanted this. You think I don’t know what’s at stake? You think I didn’t see what Darby Allin went through at Blood and Guts? You think I haven’t seen my own dad go through something like this? Two rings, one cage, that’s nothing new to the Borden Family.” [0:15-0:50]
Darby Allin was surely giving his all as well, as he is not known to shy away from the competition. With a setup like Blood and Guts, he thrives in those types of conditions and could play a big role in his team coming out on top.
