Arsenal and Man Utd in race to sign German striker

Arsenal and Manchester United could compete to sign Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, according to Football Insider.

The German has had a fine start to the campaign with Brugge, and he has already notched up 12 goals in 14 appearances.

Both the Gunners and Red Devils made enquiries about him last summer, but Brugge were quite clear that he was not for sale.

After selling Christos Tzolis to the Gunners, the Belgian champions decided to keep hold of Tzolis and Joaquin Seys until next summer.

Their stance is unlikely to change at the turn of the year, and Football Insider claim that Arsenal and United are still tracking him.

The Premier League duo are aware that Brugge won’t negotiate this winter and are weighing up moves for the summer instead.

Arsenal have a good working relationship with Brugge after landing Tzolis and could have an upper hand over United as a result.

Tzolis has also been linked with AC Milan, who are his boyhood club. They are unlikely to afford him, given the price could be £50m plus.
