Ayanna Taylor is once again making headlines after revealing her concerns about Jonathan Taylor’s future with the Indianapolis Colts. Her latest TikTok reaction came after the team traded perennial Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday.
Indianapolis, which sits at 2-5, appears to be looking beyond the current season after also trading defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers. The departures have fueled uncertainty about the team’s direction, leaving Ayanna wondering whether her family could soon face a major change.
Thanks for the submission!
“Is literally anyone safe on this team? It feels like rookie year all over again. My mind is spiraling. What does this mean for my husband and I? Do I need to start packing our bags?” she said.

“Are we going to be spending our daughter’s first Halloween together? Will we make it to gameday, or was last week the last time my husband is putting on a Colts jersey? What are we going to do without Quenton Nelson?”

Ayanna Taylor’s reaction to the Colts’ latest roster moves has not gone down well with many NFL fans. Her comments sparked a wave of criticism on X, where users questioned why she was so publicly invested in the team’s decisions.
“Athletes need to do a better job keeping their wives off TikTok/Podcasts,” one fan said.
“Does she know it’s not about her? Holy s**t she’s so out of touch,” one wrote.
“Yes. He’s a pro athlete. You get paid millions to go where you’re told & play. That’s the life. You are not a victim. That enlisted kid in the military & his spouse have to do the same thing, but for like 45K a year, not 30M,” one added.
“Multimillionaire Wag crashes out over slim possibility that her husband, who has never been traded in his entire career, might get traded 🤦,” one fan wrote.
“She needs to get a hobby. JT, get her off the internet,” one commented.
“She’s trying to be a nuisance for the team on purpose. Tryna help get JT outta there,” one added.
Jonathan Taylor played down his wife’s social media comments about his uncertain future with the Colts on Sunday, saying her video does not change anything for him.
Speaking after the Week 7 loss to the Vikings, the three-time Pro Bowl running back confirmed he had seen the post, in which his wife addressed the possibility of a trade.
“It’s been out there already, so I think her adding (to it) doesn’t really change anything,” Taylor said. “You know everybody’s on TikTok these days. So, you just gotta come into work and stay focused.”
Taylor, a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, has attracted trade speculation in recent weeks. However, his importance to the Colts’ offense could make any potential departure a big decision for the franchise.
Colts owner reportedly unwilling to part ways with Jonathan Taylor amid trade rumors
The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly reluctant to trade Jonathan Taylor despite recent roster changes that have birthed speculation about a rebuild.
The team fired general manager Chris Ballard and traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner within eight days, raising questions about whether Taylor could be the next key player to leave. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon prefers to keep the running back.
“The big name is Jonathan Taylor. My understanding is that the Colts don’t wanna trade Jonathan Taylor,” Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show. “I’m sure they don’t want to trade Jonathan Taylor, and if I had to guess today, I would say I don’t think they will trade him.
“If the Colts don’t change their stance, they won’t trade Jonathan Taylor. Again, I think the owner doesn’t want to trade him right now. For the record, that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. That may just be their stance to drive up the price.”
The Colts’ position could change if another team presents a great offer, potentially giving Indianapolis more draft capital for its future.
