A huge WWE return tonight changed everything on SmackDown, as the show took a demonic turn for Gunther. In conclusion to what appeared to be a farcical segment with Danhausen, he was left frozen in fear as things went too far.

The former World Champion interrupted Danhausen tonight on SmackDown, when he was set to reveal his experiment. However, what no one saw coming was what the experiment actually was. The Ring General has had unfinished business with Danhausen over the last few months, and tonight he looked to finish things by utterly decimating the comedic star. He was interrupted in his beatdown by the arrival of the Minihausens, who even looked to have the advantage over him thanks to their numbers.
However, in the end, it was the actual experiment being revealed that changed things. The stadium went red and black as the return of the Demon version of Finn Balor after a long time shook everything.
His entrance left Gunther frozen in fear. He could hardly move as things went wrong from how he had seen matters playing out. Balor went on to destroy the star and take him apart as he had no hesitation in taking advantage of the Ring General’s insecurity to hit him with dropkicks. He added insult to injury by laying him out on the table outside the ring and then hitting him with the Coup De Grace from the top of a ladder.
That was it, with the Ring General laid out as Balor posed with Danhausen. It seems to indicate that the Demon is back for good, and when Gunther faces him, it’s going to be the Demon that he has to wrestle in the ring. This will likely not make him too happy, but unfortunately for him, he can’t do much to stop it.
