Carlos Silva comments on TNA’s latest deal

The promotion’s President, Carlos Silva, welcomed the partnership with SPORT1, stressing Germany’s importance to both the wrestling industry and the promotion.

“Germany has always been an important market – both for professional wrestling and TNA, in particular. We are excited to join forces with SPORT1 to bring TNA content back to fans across the country,” Carlos Silva said.

He also praised SPORT1 as a strong partner for the company’s international expansion.

“SPORT1 has firmly established itself as a major platform in sports and sports entertainment, making them an ideal partner as we continue expanding TNA’s international presence. We look forward to giving German fans a consistent destination to experience TNA every week,” he added.

Under the new agreement, SPORT1 will air Thursday Night iMPACT! weekly, giving German wrestling fans a regular place to watch the promotion’s biggest stars. The broadcasts will include exclusive German commentary, making the new show more accessible to local viewers.

The partnership also marks a return to a country with a long history for the promotion. With SPORT1 offering the show on free-to-air television, the deal could help the promotion reach both longtime fans and new viewers.

The announcement comes during a period of growth for the company. Since launching its US television partnership with AMC Global Media, Thursday Night iMPACT! has recorded multiple ratings increases. Additionally, the promotion’s ongoing collaboration with WWE has also helped bring talent from both promotions together across their respective shows.

The announcement also said the promotion now reaches fans in 200 countries and has more than 26 million social media followers worldwide.

With this new agreement, the promotion continues to build its presence outside the United States. The November 3 premiere will give German fans another opportunity to follow the promotion’s weekly stories and its biggest stars.
