A major return has recently taken place in WWE NXT, as the star has made his comeback after almost eight months.
In March 2026, NXT star Elio LeFluer suffered a real-life injury that forced him to take a hiatus from WWE television. Later, he underwent surgery in April and began his recovery.

However, during the recent episode, LeFluer returned in a dark match. As it was a dark bout, it took place just before the developmental brand’s live show. The star also held the Men’s Speed Championship but had to relinquish it due to his injury.
The Triple H-led promotion could also use him in Lucha Libre AAA as Elio Lefleur, since he previously competed there under a mask. Now that he has returned to the black-and-silver brand, it will be intriguing to see how things unfold in the near future.
A massive semi-final match took place at WWE NXT
Not only did Elio return, but the televised show also featured some high-profile matches. These included the Dusty Classic semifinal elimination match, where Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno faced The Vanity Project, featuring Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes.
Currently, Ricky and Brad are part of The Vanity Project and are also the reigning WWE NXT Tag Team Champions. Despite this, Noam and Romeo surprised everyone by defeating the champions and earning a spot in the Dusty Rhodes Classic finals.
Meanwhile, NXT has announced the finals will take place on Wednesday, and Cody Rhodes will be in the building to witness this year’s Dusty Classic final.
Overall, the developmental brand is making major moves on the black-and-silver brand. There is no doubt that the Dusty Classic final will be a banger of a match. It remains to be seen whether Noam and Romeo can win the finals.
