WNBA fans teased Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark after being starstruck by Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James.
On Wednesday, Clark met James and received a signed 76ers jersey from the NBA star himself. Photos of their meeting were posted on Instagram and X, showing the Fever star smiling during their interaction.
“Just a couple of hoopers. 🤝,” the post read.
After fans saw how happy Clark was meeting James, they teased her online.
“CC might be moving to Philly,” a fan said.
“Never seen CC smile like this,” another fan commented.
“CC playing for the new WNBA Philly team in 2030 with Dawn Staley coaching,” one fan predicted.
More fans commented on Caitlin Clark’s reaction to LeBron James.
“You can tell he’s her hero 🥹,” someone commented.
“The childlike excitement from CC in this photo is remarkable,” a comment read.
“She’s so normal. Yet, so famous. I love how she doesn’t overdress and is humble,” one fan commented.
Clark and James met after the 76ers’ 114-109 win against the Indiana Pacers. The Fever star attended the game to show her support for the Pacers. However, the WNBA star wasn’t the only player excited to see another basketball player.
76ers star Tyrese Maxey told reporters how big of a fan he is of Clark.
“That’s just, shoot, another person that I like to watch. She’s cold. She’s nice,” he said. “So, seeing her today was really cool. Sometimes you try not to fan out, but it was really cool seeing her.”
Caitlin Clark Said She’ll Watch More 76ers Games After LeBron James’ Free Agency Decision
LeBron James spent some time deciding which team he’ll play for in the 2026-27 NBA season after leaving the LA Lakers. Eventually, James signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers during the offseason. At the WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, reporters asked Caitlin Clark about James’ decision.
The Fever star was surprised and told the media that she will watch more 76ers games moving forward.
“I just pitched him for the Pacers. It didn’t get to him fast enough! … Selfishly, I wanted the Warriors because Steph [Curry] and Bron would have been absolutely insane together. … I’ll be watching more 76ers games,” Clark said.
Caitlin Clark has shared before that James is one of her favorite basketball players of all time. Since entering the WNBA in 2024, the former Iowa star has met the four-time champion multiple times.
