Forged Resolve is Oongka’s storyline in Crimson Desert, and it features several puzzles like the Fractured Door quest. In this, you’ll need to complete a puzzle that might confuse you if you aren’t prepared for it.
This one is a bit easier than some of the more obtuse puzzles that come with this storyline, but if you want to move on, and learn more about the art of engineering, you’ll need to get through this door. Here’s what you need to know about the Fractured Door quest in Crimson Desert.
Crimson Desert Forged Resolve storyline: How to complete the Fractured Door quest
The Forged Resolve storyline requires you to get past a door in the Scholastone Institute in Crimson Desert’s DLC. This comes shortly after fixing the broken device in the Unfamiliar Workshop quest. In order to get past this door, you have to light up all of the tiles on the doorway, within fifteen moves. Here’s the solution in the image below:

It’s possible that there are other solutions for this puzzle in Crimson Desert, but for us, this worked, and got the door open. Typically, puzzles like this one require you not to overlap an already lit button, but that isn’t the case. As long as you hit all of the buttons before you’ve made more than 15 moves, you’ll be fine.
After you open the door, you’ll learn Vargus is trying to replicate the experiment that caused a disaster earlier in the game. Back in the base game, the quest Gate to the Otherworld was a Scholastone quest where a researcher named Octavius opened up a dimensional rift. It led to quite a calamity, but was nothing Kliff couldn’t solve. Vargus is a student of Octavius, and wants to prove that there was nothing wrong.
You don’t really have a choice but to participate, and, at the end of this cutscene, you’ll find yourself in a very familiar location once again: Marni’s Manor. Now that Fractured Door has been completed, the next step of Crimson Desert’s Forged Resolve quest begins: Fateful Encounter.
