Where to find Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet in Phantom Blade Zero?
You will come across Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet while completing the Herald’s Illusion quest in Phantom Blade Zero. The boss spawns at the Puppet Testing Grounds in the Village of Lu region. You must head to the bottom of the well, which is unlocked upon completing the Heartless Remnants mission.
Once you drop down, ring the Beneath the Well bell and continue forward. You will soon hear someone playing music. A cutscene will trigger shortly after, revealing the puppet boss.
How to beat Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet in Phantom Blade Zero
Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet, in Phantom Blade Zero strums her pipa to unleash various ranged wind-based attacks, preventing you from closing in. You would want to stay agile and move around the arena to catch up to the enemy. Check out the list below for more detailed tricks to counter her moveset:
- A red orb appears around Yuzan as she charges up a heavy attack. She then strikes the chord, launching a blazing-fast wind projectile towards you. Be prepared to sidestep away when you see her winding up the ability.
- Yuzan also frequently uses a faster blue-flash attack. She launches three sonic projectiles at you in quick succession. You should be able to parry the wind blades with the right timing.
- The boss occasionally strums her instrument to cast a vortex spell. It traps you when you get close, limiting your movement. Your character will be stuck in place for a few seconds if you fail to press the dodge button at the right time. Reacting to it can be tricky, as the spell activates instantly.
- You should be able to easily counter her wind orbs. She summons multiple of these projectiles that slowly float towards you. Hit the parry button consecutively to deflect the projectiles back to her; she receives damage if you succeed.
- Be prepared to parry if you see Yuzan trotting around in the air. She launches a barrage of wind attacks that you must deflect to avoid taking heavy damage.
- Yuzan disappears for an instant before summoning multiple cyclones in the arena. She creates one giant vortex surrounded by multiple smaller wind orbs. Get as far away as you can when you see her casting this ability.
Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet boss reward in Phantom Blade Zero
Upon defeating Yuzan, No. 3 Musician Puppet, you will receive the Heartrend Pipa Phantom Edge. This special weapon allows you to unleash two Blue Sonic Blades and one Red Sonic Blade. Both attacks are unblockable in nature.
