“I Thought You Were Someone Else” – Tommaso Ciampa Mistakes AEW Star for Randy Orton

Tommaso Ciampa has been chasing Randy Orton for the past year in professional wrestling. When he was in WWE, he used to post a series on his Instagram where he attempted to RKO The Viper backstage. This week, The Psycho Killer resumed his series but mistook an AEW star for The Legend Killer.

The idea behind the series is simple: that is, that Ciampa wants to RKO Randy Orton out of nowhere. He has failed to do this multiple times in the past year. When the former NXT Champion made his debut for AEW, fans thought he had abandoned that series. This week, the former TNT Champion was in St. Louis for AEW Fright Night Dynamite, which reminded him to find The Apex Predator.

Taking to his Instagram, Ciampa shared a video of his hunt for Randy Orton. It took him backstage, where he mistook Kyle Fletcher for The Viper.

“Guys I know you think I forgot but I never forget The Viper lives in St. Louis. I have 24 hours to get him. I’m gonna RKO Randy Orton. Watch. I have been looking all day. But guys I found him. I found him right there. Orton, Randy Orton. We’re gonna get him in St. Louis,” said Ciampa.

As the former NXT Champion tried to RKO The Protostar, he slid away, sending Tommaso crashing on the couch. Kyle looked confused about what the former WWE star was trying to do. Hilariously, Ciampa brushed him off, saying he made a mistake.

“Out of nowhere!!! [Ciampa, what are you doing?] Oh, I thought you were someone else. Never mind.”

Tommaso Ciampa confronted former WWE star Ilja Dragunov at AEW Fright Night Dynamite

This week, Ilja Dragunov came to the ring with a serious challenge. He made it clear that he wants to fight Tommaso Ciampa. The Psycho Killer also seemed to be excited to battle the former WWE star. Many fans thought that they might see this match in St. Louis on Fright Night Dynamite.

However, Tommaso Ciampa refused to battle Dragunov at the last minute. He said that they would battle, but just not in St. Louis because he is currently chasing Andrade and the National Championship. This message left The Mad Dragon pumped to battle The Psycho Killer down the line in AEW.

Since Fright Night Dynamite, fans have been talking about this high-profile match. People seemed to be on board to see Tommaso Ciampa and Ilja Dragunov share the ring in AEW. Many fans believe that this battle can take place in the Continental Classic in the coming months.
