Major WWE streak set to be on the line at Crown Jewel

WWE could have an interesting plan in place for Crown Jewel now that it has been confirmed that the show will officially go ahead.

Following this week’s SmackDown, it seems that Gunther and Finn Balor have taken their feud to the next level.

The Demon was revealed as the man behind Danhausen’s recent experiments, and he turned his attention to The Ring General. Now Gunther will be forced to put his undefeated streak on the line when the Balor match is announced for Crown Jewel.

Since his 2022 WWE main roster debut, Gunther remains undefeated in non-title televised singles matches. He has since been able to accumulate 38 wins without losing, but given The Demon’s own streak, it seems that he could be up against some heavy opposition.

Crown Jewel is already a massive event, given all of the publicity that has surrounded WWE’s upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia, but there will also be the crowning of the men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel Champions.

Stephanie Vaquer and Seth Rollins are the holders of the titles, but neither will be able to defend them next weekend.

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn will collide at WWE Crown Jewel

Gunther vs. Finn Balor is yet to be announced for Crown Jewel, but since Balor has been pulled from his appearance at Zuffa Boxing to be part of the show, it would make sense for him to continue his story with Gunther.

Matches that have been announced for the show include Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn in a champion vs. champion match to crown the male Crown Jewel Champion, whilst Chelsea Green and Liv Morgan will collide in a match to determine the female Crown Jewel Champion.

Cody Rhodes will face Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match in order to finish their deeply personal rivalry. Elsewhere, The Vision will take on Je’Von Evans and Penta for the World Tag Team Championships. Bron Breakker and Austin Theory will represent The Vision and defend their Tag Team Championships.

At present, there are only four official matches on the card, and more are expected to be added.
