“Never below 8/10”, “I’m lost for words” – Arsenal fans call 27-year-old as the best in the world in his role after win vs Liverpool

Arsenal fans have hailed Declan Rice as the best midfielder in the world after his performance in the 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield. Mikel Arteta’s team returned to the top of the Premier League table after securing their first win away from home at Liverpool since 2012.

The reigning Premier League champions were disciplined on the night and showed why they have the best defence in England. Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes looked impenetrable at the back.

Thanks for the submission!

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute, when Declan Rice set him up perfectly with an excellent low cross. Arsenal fans were in awe of Rice’s performance, who was named Man of the Match after the game.

Rice made a darting run on the right and drilled in the pass that helped Havertz tuck the ball away for the opening goal. He also covered over 11kms on the pitch, helping out in defence and attack.

One fan was in awe of how Rice’s level does not drop and wrote on X:

“Sir Declan Rice. Never below 8/10. Wow”

Another fan believes there is no debate on who the best midfielder in the world is right now:

“Why bother arguing with people who don’t rate Declan Rice when you can just wait until his next performance against them? The best midfielder in the world, bar none.”

@Afc_DW wrote:

“Declan rice is the best midfielder we’ve had at the club yes I’ve watched vieira and co so take it from myself.”

@TILIKI_OS stated:

“Declan Rice. Best central midfielder in the Premier League. No one can chat to him. No one.”

@WoklzYT added:

“Declan Rice has actually got even better this season, I don’t know how. He is our best player by a mile”

@Philopearl_Afc posted:

“Declan Rice, I’m lost for words to describe just how incredibly good he is”

Arsenal hold a three-point advantage over Manchester City, who lost to Brighton on Saturday, after the win at Anfield. They next face Slavia Praha away from home in the Champions League before hosting Hull City in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s confident claim about beating Liverpool resurfaces after Arsenal win at Anfield

When Arsenal beat Liverpool the last time in 2012, Mikel Arteta played for them. And before this trip to Anfield, the Arsenal boss confidently claimed his team would end the drought and secure all three points at the end of this contest.

Arteta said before the game as per SPORTbible:

“I’m fully convinced we are going to go there and beat them.”

The Instagram post shared by SPORTbible has been well received by Arsenal fans, who are now hailing their manager for the confidence he showed before this game.

The Gunners are now on a winning run of four straight games in the Premier League and have established themselves as the favorites to retain the title at the end of the season.
