This year’s WWE Crown Jewel has been making headlines despite the event being more than a week away. The situation in Saudi Arabia and the Middle Eastern regions has been very tense for the last several weeks which has led to the cancellation of many events in that region. As per a recent report, WWE is making a massive change for the event.
The first Crown Jewel took place in 2018 and the event has annually taken place in Saudi Arabia ever since except for last year. However, things aren’t well in Saudi Arabia right now as Houthis attacked the Riyadh airport a few weeks ago causing several casualties. The US Embassy has been constantly releasing security alerts for its citizens residing in the region.
Thanks for the submission!
However, WWE still hasn’t cancelled the event and is seemingly moving forward with it. Riyadh Season recently announced that the event has been moved to a different location but will still take place in Riyadh. People around the world are concerned about the safety of WWE’s fans, staff and talent at a time like this. As per a recent report by False Finish, the company is planning to take a limited crew to the event and will be outsourcing help from local companies to make the setup and have things run smoothly. The setup for the event will begin this weekend.
Fans are hoping that the event goes on without any problems.
