WWE reportedly kept in the dark about recent Crown Jewel changes

There has been another twist in WWE’s Crown Jewel venue situation. A report on Wednesday suggests that some employees at the company’s headquarters were unaware of the change before it was announced publicly.

According to Fightful Select, sources working on-site in Saudi Arabia still expect Crown Jewel to take place in Riyadh even after the venue change. Nevertheless, the surprising part is how some of the company’s employees reportedly found out about the decision.

WWE headquarters staff said they got to know about the venue change when Riyadh Season announced it on Twitter. This likely means that some employees found out about the decision at the same time as fans, with the Nov. 7 event less than two weeks away.

Riyadh Season has confirmed that existing tickets will be refunded. Meanwhile, new tickets will go on sale within 48 hours. However, the new venue has yet to be announced, and the global juggernaut has not provided an official explanation for the change.

With Crown Jewel fast approaching, the Stamford-based promotion now faces the challenge of handling a venue change that reportedly caught some of its own employees by surprise.
