There is a backstage update on Randy Orton’s future and this is something every wrestling fan must pay attention to. This has the potential to shape the wrestling landscape for the immediate future.

The Viper has been on the backburner ever since he lost his match to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. After that loss, he was not seen for a few months until SummerSlam when he came back to cost Cody Rhodes the match against CM Punk. The former teacher turned on his student and completed his heel arc when he defeated Cody at Sunday Night’s Main Event in September.

It also states that since he still has at least three more years left on his current WWE contract, he is sure to be in the sport for the foreseeable future as well as the long term future.

Randy Orton wants to work with Finn Balor

Randy Orton has wrestled a lot of guys during his time as a wrestler. However, there is one superstar he has never been in a ring with and that is none other than Finn Balor.

He recently spoke with The Schmo when he revealed he would love to fight the former Universal Champion. He said:

“Finn Balor to me is like, I’ve never — I’ve been in the ring with him, but I’ve never had a singles match, let alone a feud. I would love to be able to say that I did by the end of my career. I think Finn Balor is an amazing talent. There’s nobody smoother than him.”

That is a massive compliment and Finn Balor would no doubt have loved it. It will be interesting to see if Randy Orton will get the chance to take on Finn Balor before he calls time on his career.
