Barcelona star Fermín López has ruled out a move to Manchester United. He wants to stay at the Catalan side for the rest of his career and sees no reason to leave Camp Nou.
Speaking to the media after the win over Alaves, López stated that he does not pay attention to rumours of him joining another club. He insisted that the plan is to remain at Camp Nou for as long as possible, and hopes to finish his career at the club. He said:
Thanks for the submission!

Fabrizio Romano also spoke on X about the possible move from Manchester United last month, reporting that the Spain star has no plans to leave. He added that the 23-year-old was happy at the Catalan side and said:
“Despite reports in recent days, Fermín López is absolutely untouchable for Barcelona. So all the stories regarding a potential Premier League switch for Fermín López are being played down by Barça and also those close to the player. Fermín is very happy at Barça. He signed a new deal at the club a few months ago. He’s a completely crucial player for Barcelona, so it’s not about the money.”
“Fermín López is considered by Barça and especially the director Deco as a crucial player for the present and future. Fermín is also very happy at Barcelona, so the connection is fantastic. There is no change or Premier League switch planned. So everything is under control; Fermín López is 100 percent staying at Barça.”
Fermín López has played 13 matches across competitions for Hansi Flick’s side, scoring six goals and assisting as many times.
Are Manchester United interested in Barcelona’s Fermín López?
Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto reported in October that Manchester United were keeping tabs on Fermín López. He claimed that the Red Devils had made their first move for the Spaniard and said:
“There’s a Premier League club, Manchester United, that has a lot of things to sort out and is looking for a midfielder with the characteristics of [Atlético Madrid star Pablo Barrios and Fermín. They’ve enquired about both of them; there’s no negotiation, just an enquiry.”
Manchester United are looking to bolster their squad after a poor start to the season. They are sitting just above the relegation zone with seven points from nine matches.
