“It’s a date” – Current WWE champion sends a message to Bayley

Bayley is coming to WWE NXT live shows in a few weeks. The shows in Cleveland and Detroit will be graced with The Role Model’s presence. This means not just appearances, but she will most likely be wrestling there too. Now, a top champion who has faced Bayley in a NXT live event just this year wants to battle her again.

Women’s North American Champion Zaria has replied to the official post about Bayley’s return to NXT. She mentioned having a date with Bayley and a steel chair. That implies a match between them with the involvement of a chair, or simply hitting the Grand Slam champion with the chair. It is a callback to their DQ finish match from May 2026, where she hit Bayley with a chair at the Johnstown live event of WWE NXT.

“@itsBayleyWWE + Me + steel chair It’s a date 🤝🏽” wrote Zaria

Just this week, Bayley came out of a rivalry that quite literally ended with her taking chair shots and much more. In a No Disqualification match against Lyra Valkyria, she came out on top in the blowoff match even though the trilogy was won by the Irish star, who defeated her twice. It will be exciting to see who Bayley really faces at the house shows now, or whether it will again be Zaria, making the wounds feel fresh again.

The Women’s North American Champion will hope to recover from her non-title loss against Izzi Dame at Halloween Havoc.

Bayley was about to have her face seriously damaged due to a chair outside the WWE ring

Bayley wrestled Lyra Valkyria in an amazing match to end their rivalry. During their No-DQ battle, though, Bayley narrowly avoided a major blunder when a steel chair she threw into the ring ricocheted off the ropes and hit her in the face.

Despite the painful moment, the veteran laughed it off with the referee and secured the victory. Had the chair bounced back slightly faster or if she was any closer to the ring, the damage would’ve been unfortunate. Hopefully nothing went wrong.

With Valkyria in the rearview mirror, Bayley might now chase championships, likely the Women’s Intercontinental Championship held by Raquel Rodriguez. Or even the Women’s World Championship (the renamed version), which she has not held. It will be exciting to see what lies ahead for Bayley in WWE.
