“Go the f**k out there and work” – Forgotten AEW star lashes out at other benched stars in Tony Khan’s company

A popular star who has not been seen in AEW recently has just fired shots at some other names who were in the same boat as him. He urged them to make a move and work despite being benched.

Mansoor is one-half of MxM Collection with Mason Madden. The duo has kept their model gimmick from their days in WWE and elevated it. They appear like this both in and out of AEW and have even aligned themselves with Johnny TV, someone as fashionable as they are.

While speaking on Self Made Sitdown, Mansoor noted that AEW stars who were benched had no excuse, as they could still work despite not being on TV. He noted that he and Madden have gotten to compete all over the world on this recent stretch.

“There’s no excuse if you’re in AEW and you’re benched, man; go the f**k out there and work. If I was single and childless, I would be flying myself to places all over the world and wrestling in as many shows as I possibly could and getting out there. I’m going to Japan in two days with Mason (Madden) to work for DDT at Ryogoku Sumo Hall, and we’re staying for two extra weeks, and we’re gonna do some really, really cool s**t over there. Earlier this year, we went to CMLL for a two-week tour of Mexico, which was some of the best work I felt that we ever did.”

He continued by talking about how he had no right to complain about his booking, as despite being absent from AEW TV, he had the freedom to do whatever he wanted and take whatever bookings he wished while still getting paid by Tony Khan. His current situation was completely favorable for him.

“I’ve been going to India. The fact that Tony Khan is letting my f**king promote and book a show, a completely different company in India, and going there multiple times a year is a phenomenal, phenomenal opportunity. And the fact that I’m in AEW, getting a guaranteed deal and money to do all those things, I couldn’t possibly complain. It would be absurd for me to complain.”

The AEW star also spoke about an unscripted moment in WWE featuring Sami Zayn

During the same interview, Mansoor talked about a moment in 2022 during their show in Saskatoon where Sami Zayn went off-script during a six-man tag team featuring Braun Strowman.

He revealed that Strowman messed up in one spot and, instead of sitting idly, Zayn suddenly improvised and did an unexpected takedown on the big man. He noted how a lot of people reacted to this backstage, and it led to an interesting conversation between the two stars afterwards.

“Everybody in the back pops huge. Holy s*it. He just f*cking took him down. We started calling him Sami Severn, and Braun comes to the back and goes, ‘Well goddamn, I didn’t know I was gonna be in a real fight back there. If I knew I was gonna be in a real fight, maybe I would have actually done something about it’. And Sami’s like, ‘I don’t know, I don’t know what came over me. I just thought it was the right thing to do’,” said Mansoor.

Despite not being actively on TV, MxM Collection looks to be thriving as they have made the most of their AEW on-screen appearances while also putting in the work on their bookings outside the company.
