UPDATE: Forgotten Star After Long-Term Partner Leaves AEW [REPORT]

A new update has emerged regarding an AEW star after his longtime partner exited the Jacksonville-based promotion.

The aforementioned star in question is Anthony Bowens. He and his partner, Max Caster, formed the popular team, The Acclaimed. They had a spectacular run as a unit until their disbandment in 2024. This year, Caster left Tony Khan’s company, while Bowens’ last appearance came in September 2026, as of this writing. Despite that, Caster said Bowens was still part of AEW. Both are still close in real life, and Bowens even cosplayed as Caster for Halloween this year.

In a recent update by Fightful Select, Anthony Bowens was at the New Japan Pro Wrestling dojo last week, and they said that he would be able to go there regardless of his current status. The report added that his contract expired at the start of October and noted that Bowens also wasn’t part of the Opps segment last week. Despite that, both sides seemed to think they could reunite soon, as Bowens is still listed on the AEW roster page.

Anthony Bowens’ AEW partner Max Caster is taking a break from wrestling

Max Caster was fired from TNA Wrestling due to a controversial rap he did about the Houthis’ attack on Saudi Arabian airports at Bound for Glory 2026. He also received a lot of negativity for the same. Following that, Caster announced that he would be taking a break from wrestling, saying:

“A lot of people were excited to watch TNA for the first time or come back to the product, and now a lot of people are disappointed that I’m not on the show. Thank you guys here at ACW for welcoming me. For that, I say, I love you and thank you. I don’t know what my next move is. I don’t know where I’ll be, but I will be stepping away from the ring for an extended period of time. I’m gonna go home, I’m gonna go to therapy, I’m gonna get it right so that the next time I’m in the ring it feels like I’m at home,” he said.

As their future remains uncertain, we will have to wait and see what the future holds for both former Acclaimed tag team members.
