Gunther had a furious reaction after Finn Balor stomped on his “nuts.” The Ring General did not take kindly to the incident and made his feelings known.
The former World Champion has been having disagreements with Danhausen on a regular basis for the last few weeks. The two men have been having a go at each other and last week on SmackDown, things came to a boil.
Thanks for the submission!
The Ring General came out to disrupt Danhausen and attacked him and his horde of Minihausens, only to be interrupted by the Demon Finn Balor. Gunther ate a Coupe de Grace on the announcers but the landing was questionable as he appeared to land on one of the more ‘sensitive’ parts of the Ring General.
After the attack, as he was walking back, he turned to the camera and revealed what happened and admitted that it really worries him. Posting a video on his Instagram page, he said:
“That demon jumps onto my balls from a ladder. Not for that. What buried me was the demon stomping on my nuts on the table. It really worries me.”
John Cena has his say on Gunther’s WWE booking
Gunther holds the distinction of being John Cena’s final opponent in WWE. The Ring General defeated the leader of the Cenation in December 2025 and cemented himself as a top star.
Cena was on the Busted Open Radio podcast when he was asked about the Austrian’s booking in WWE. He said:
“I know there’s sentiment out there that like, ‘Man, they’re wasting Gunther!’ Maybe currently they are. But I don’t see the view from the penthouse. I’m not in those meetings where they’re just looking at the whiteboard, connecting the dots. Maybe they’re just cooling him off. Maybe they’re putting him away from TV. I don’t know. What I am gonna do is I’m not gonna challenge the opinion of, ‘Aye, I’m not gonna give this for this guy and you’re gonna forget him.’ This is the work that I need to do for today, and we’re gonna make him look the best we can, and I’m gonna give him as much steam as I can, and what you do with it afterwards, that ain’t my call.”
It will be interesting to see what direction the Austrian will take with Finn Balor in the mix.
