Democrat Annie Andrews won South Carolina’s Senate seat on Tuesday night, and J.P. Arencibia’s wife, Tomi Lahren, focused less on the winner than on the Republicans who nominated Darlene Graham at all. The Fox News co-host and wife of former major league catcher posted her verdict on X.
“Republicans running Darlene in South Carolina was SUCH AN UNFORCED ERROR. Seats don’t run in the family. Good lord.”

Graham had never held public office when Gov. Henry McMaster appointed her to the seat in July, days after her brother, Lindsey Graham, died suddenly. President Donald Trump urged her to run for a full term, and she won the special Republican primary runoff with his endorsement.
Tomi Lahren’s post skipped the result and went to the reasoning behind it, arguing that a Senate seat is not something a family passes down. Critics of the appointment had made the same case since July.
J.P. Arencibia’s wife Tomi Lahren Drops 1-Word Comment for WNBA Finals Game 6 schedule
J.P. Arencibia’s wife, Tomi Lahren, does not post only about politics. In late October, she was watching a different scheduling mess: Game 6 of the WNBA Finals.
The league announced on Oct. 26 that the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream would tip off at 12:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 29, at State Farm Arena. Her review of the WNBA schedule was a single word: “LOL,” posted while the venue and start time were still unresolved.
In another reply to the same ESPN report, she wrote: “Dozens of fans are on the edge of their seats.” The problem was real.
Tomi Lahren often shares her opinion on both sports and politics on social media. She boasts 2M followers on Instagram and is well known and respected in the media field.
J.P. Arencibia was a first-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2007. He spent parts of seven seasons in the majors as a catcher with the Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies.
The couple walked down the aisle on Oct. 21, 2022, about a year after she confirmed their engagement in September 2021. Lahren co-hosts Fox News’ The Big Weekend Show and has posted about the WNBA throughout this postseason.
