AEW has an immensely talented roster. They have several rising young wrestlers who are seemingly the future of the business. One such star is the son of a legend, and he performed on this week’s Blood & Guts TV special.
Steven Borden is the son of AEW icon Sting. He, Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, and the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) teamed up and locked horns with the Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle) (with Don Callis) in a Blood & Guts match. Borden suffered a serious injury at All Out 2026, where he and Darby locked horns with Fletcher and Knight. Nevertheless, he delivered an excellent performance this week.
All Elite Wrestling made a major change with Borden. They gave him a new theme song, and he entered it at Blood & Guts. The company released the track a few hours ago with a statement. Mikey Rukus is its creator.
“IT’S STEEEEEEEEEEVVVE!!! @Stevenborden is here at #AEWDynamite and enters #BloodandGuts to his BRAND NEW Theme “The Second Coming” by @MikeyRukus!” read the statement.
Even though Borden and Co. gave their all, they failed to defeat the heel faction. Hopefully, the young star will be victorious in his next match.
Tony Schiavone believes that AEW star Steven Borden will have a great career
AEW commentator Tony Schiavone appeared on the Battleground podcast a few weeks ago. During this conversation, he showered Sting’s son with praise. He believes that the young star will achieve immense success in his career.
“The kid is trying to make his way in the business. He looks good. Hell, when he talks, he sounds exactly like his dad. He’s such a great athlete…I have so much respect for his dad, not only as a performer but as a friend and a human being. Sting is one of the great men in this business, anyone that has been in this business will tell you that. That’s not lost on me. It’s not only that, I’m very proud that I can maybe help his career because I think there’s a very good career ahead of Steven Borden, I really do.” he said. [H/T: Fighftful]
Steven Borden could become World Champion. Only time will tell what the future holds for him.
