Gunther had another forgettable outing on WWE SmackDown this week. He engaged in a physical altercation with a former World Champion.
Finn Balor and Gunther have been involved in an intense rivalry for weeks. On the Halloween special edition of SmackDown, The Ring General ruthlessly attacked Danhausen. In response, Balor shockingly brought back his Demon King persona and put the Austrian superstar through a table.

On the latest episode of the blue show, Gunther called out Finn Balor for his budding friendship with Danhausen. He criticized The Prince for bringing back his Demon King persona and playing mind games with him. The Ring General demanded that Balor fight him like a “man.” Balor didn’t waste time and showed up to confront his rival on WWE SmackDown.
The former Universal Champion said he was eagerly waiting to unleash the “Demon” inside him. After a brief promo battle, the duo engaged in a back-and-forth brawl. In the end, Balor gained the upper hand and was about to take out The Austrian Anomaly again with a Coup de Grace. However, The Ring General managed to escape after being embarrassed by the Irish superstar.
Balor could face Gunther in a one-on-one match at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. The show will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, November 7. It will be interesting to see if The Career Killer can regain momentum after a lackluster recent run on WWE SmackDown.
