Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is facing backlash after his longtime videographer, Christopher Neely, claimed Sanders offered critics $50,000 to stop mentioning his name for a year.

Speaking on “BuffBoys Live,” Neely claimed Coach Prime attempted to silence certain people by putting cash on the table.

Thanks for the submission!

“For the most part, the people that attack him wouldn’t be making the money they were making if he wasn’t here to attack,” Neely said. “Which is why he told some of them, ‘Hey man, let’s just do this. I give you $50,000 to not mention my name for a year.’ And ain’t nobody took the deal yet…”

Fans flocked to the comments section to share their reactions.

“Colorado’s record is doing that for free,” a fan wrote.

“No surprise,” one fan posted.

“I’ll do it for $9,999,” another fan added.

Here are some more reactions.

“The same reason Deion made CU relevant is the same reason he’ll be out of a job: attention,” a fan said.

“Deion must be broke then,” one fan commented.

“Anyone who doesn’t think Deion Sanders is thin skinned enough to do such a thing, just go ask Tim McCarver,” another fan tweeted.

The controversy comes as Colorado struggles through a five-game losing streak, including a 57-24 defeat to Oklahoma State that left the Buffaloes at 2-5 overall and winless in Big 12 play.

Colin Cowherd questions Deion Sanders’ coaching ability amid Colorado’s losing streak

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is facing criticism after his team suffered five consecutive losses, including a 57-24 defeat to Oklahoma State. NFL analyst Colin Cowherd slammed Sanders on Monday’s episode of “The Herd.”

“Deion Sanders, I don’t think he can coach a lick,” Cowherd said. “I think he’s interesting, but he can never build a legitimate staff. 20 games at Colorado, and he’s 5 and 15 with four losses by 30+. That’s Karl Dorrell without the branding.”

Cowherd also argued that top coaches avoided joining Sanders’ staff because they doubted his coaching ability. He called Colorado a poorly coached team. The Buffaloes have fallen to 2-5 after losing to Northwestern, Baylor, Texas Tech, Utah, and Oklahoma State. They next face Kansas State.
