Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is facing additional allegations of physical and verbal abuse from multiple women. The new allegations came to light in a report last week.
Packers analyst Peter Bukowski, on his show “Locked On Packers,” called Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur’s support of Jacobs “cowardly,” alleging that the team’s public support is about negotiating leverage.
Thanks for the submission!
“If my scenario is in fact what is happening, then you are standing up there acting cowardly and you are doing it for negotiating leverage,” Bukowski said. “That sucks, man. If that’s the case, that sucks. That is gross.

“To stand by someone with now four allegations of domestic violence for some leverage. That would be pretty disgusting. And that is setting aside the veracity of those claims. Those claims exist. They are in the public sphere.”

The comments came after LaFleur’s Monday news conference, his first since police released records containing three more allegations against Jacobs.
“We’re going to allow the NFL to do its process, but I would anticipate him being a member of us moving forward,” LaFleur said. “I’m not going to get into that up here right now. We’ll just let the process play out.”
According to the police records released on Friday, three women described alleged incidents in April 2021, January 2022 and May 2022 against Jacobs. Jacobs pleaded no contest Sept. 10 to misdemeanor battery from the May 23 incident at his home that led to his arrest.
Packers’ running back options amid Josh Jacobs’ review
Packers running back Josh Jacobs has 32 carries for 75 yards (2.3 per attempt) in two games since returning from the commissioner’s exempt list. Despite his return, the Packers are one of the worst rushing teams in the league.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Jacobs “is going to continue to play, but it is possible that he gets a suspension.” The six games he already missed on the exempt list after his arrest would count toward any suspension.
Behind him, the room is unproven: MarShawn Lloyd has played one regular-season game in two years and Kaleb Johnson has 27 carries for 106 yards with two fumbles.
