“They all seem kind of nuts” – Caitlin Clark Curves Kylie Kelce’s Attempt To Lure Her Away From Fever With Hilarious Reply

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark talked about the possibility of her joining the future WNBA expansion team in Philadelphia.

In a clip from Tuesday’s episode of “Not Gonna Lie” shared on X, Kylie Kelce raised the idea of Clark joining the expansion team, saying, “wouldn’t it be fun to come to Philadelphia?” The Fever star responded by admitting that she has only visited the city once, for a doctor’s appointment.

“So, I mean, let me come experience the city first,” Clark said. “And you can sell it to me. You can come with me.”

Clark then praised the passion of Philadelphia sports fans and their strong support for local teams:

“The thing about Philadelphia sports is, I love how passionate the fans are. They’re crazy, but I think it’s awesome. Like, Phillies fans, and Eagles fans, Sixers fans, they all seem kind of nuts, but I love it. I love that fandom. They want to win just as much as the players do. Possibly more, honestly.”

Kylie Kelce is married to retired NFL center Jason Kelce, who played 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. They have four children and were married in Philadelphia in 2018.

According to Spotrac, Clark is under contract through the 2027 season, the final year of her rookie deal, and will become a restricted free agent in 2028.

The WNBA’s expansion team in Philadelphia is scheduled to debut in the 2030 season. The team, which has not yet been named, is owned by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which also operates the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.

According to the WNBA, the team will play in a new arena under construction in South Philly, which it will share with the Sixers and the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.

Caitlin Clark says she is excited about the WNBA’s expansion teams

In an appearance on NBC’s “TODAY” on Tuesday, Caitlin Clark addressed the growth of the WNBA, mentioning the league’s expansion teams.

“I think it’s just the beginning,” Clark said (Timestamp: 1:45). “We’ve added even three teams since I first got in the league three years ago. And gonna continue to add more. I think by 2030, there’s going to be 18 teams, Detroit, Philly and a couple others. So, super excited about that. And I think just the investment and the excitement.

“I think when people buy a ticket or turn on the TV, they just continue to come back for more. So, really just scratching the surface. And obviously the Valkyries, who are only in their second year, just won a championship, which is pretty incredible as well. So, the game is in a really good place.”

The Golden State Valkyries, who won the 2026 WNBA championship, debuted in 2025. Meanwhile, the Portland Fire and the Toronto Tempo played their inaugural seasons this year.

In addition to Philadelphia, two more expansion teams will join the WNBA: the Cleveland Sirens in 2028 and Detroit in 2029, bringing the total to 18 teams.
