The Wavebinder is a world boss that was added with the Genshin Impact 7.2 update. You can find it roaming near the Port Belovodye region of Snezhnaya. This monstrosity can drop the Shattered Stability Anchor upon defeat, which is required to ascend Mitya in Genshin Impact.

Wavebinder boss location in Genshin Impact
The Wavebinder boss is located near Port Belovodye, in the Novokitezhgrad area of Snezhnaya. This part of the map was added in the Genshin Impact 7.2 update.
To reach the boss arena, unlock the new map and then use your train to reach Port Belovodye. Exit the station, and you will find a frozen body of water. Follow it till you reach a hole in the ground. Drop down and keep following the path, and you will eventually reach the boss’s arena.
You can interact with the Teleport Waypoint so that you can fast travel in the future.
How to defeat the Wavebinder in Genshin Impact?
Boss Mechanics
The boss has two unique mechanics called Courage and Valiant State. When the boss enters the Valiant State, he will have increased RES to Elemental and Physical DMG.
During the battle, the boss will start drinking, which will build up his Courage. Once it reaches its maximum level, the boss will enter the Valiant State. You can interrupt his drinking by hitting him with Stellar Glimmer reactions like Stellar Conduct.
If it enters the Valiant State, you can use Electro DMG to reduce its Courage.
Teams
Teams that can deal Electro DMG or Stellar Glimmer reactions are highly effective while fighting the boss. Here are a few teams that can work well against this enemy:
- Mitya, Valeriy, Odette, Yae Miko
- Yae Miko, Sandrone, Odette, Qiqi
- Vodyanitsa, Vesna, Odette, Escoffier
Teams with Mitya and other Electro characters will be your best bet for taking this boss down.
