Swerve Strickland is set to make a blockbuster appearance outside AEW as announced earlier today. He is set for a first-time match against an interesting competitor.
Swerve has been on an interesting run as of late, as he has been teaming up with the New Level, but has continued to show heel-like tendencies, especially toward the likes of ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. The group has hit a slight setback as they dropped the World Trios Titles to Hangman and Brodido at WrestleDream a few weeks ago.
The two trios will go at it once more at AEW Full Gear in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, it seems Swerve Strickland will be looking to pick up momentum before then, as he’ll be appearing at 4th Rope Wrestling’s Heelmatic show on November 12 for a match against Pro-Wrestling Noah’s Ninja Mack.
“NYC! For the first time ever in a @4thrope Ring we have @swerveconfident vs @mackwrestler 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 get your tickets now!!! They’re almost gone!! A legendary night is loading! Link in the bio!! #Heelmatic“
Kofi has expressed doubts about partnership with Swerve Strickland
Last week on AEW Dynamite, the feud between Swerve & the New Level and Hangman Page & Brodido took a dark turn.
Swerve kidnapped Bandido and bloodied him up before broadcasting this for the world to see. He wanted to infuriate Brody King and Hangman enough to give him a Texas Death Match at Full Gear. Unfortunately for Austin Creed and Kofi, they were kept in the dark about this, but they have to deal with the consequences of their ally’s actions.
Kofi took to social media to reflect on the situation, as one of his partners was engaging in criminal behavior and, by association, they were guilty of this as well. To make things worse, Swerve has shown no remose for his actions.
“Oh Lord…what have we gotten ourselves into?” wrote the former WWE star.
As of now, the two trios are set for a normal contest at Full Gear. But knowing Swerve Strickland, he’ll find a way to get what he wants, so all six men should get ready for Texas Death.
