On WWE SmackDown, the current Tag Team Champions, Tama and Talla Tonga, have been feuding with a former World Heavyweight Champion and the Stamford-based promotion’s newest signee. They are the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki, collectively known as Bakusai. Tonight, on the SmackDown tapings, Nakamura went one-on-one against Tama Tonga.
Last week, Bakusai was set to wrestle the MFTs in a non-title match. But the match never began as both teams started to brawl at the enterance ramp after Kyoki stole Haku’s cane. Thus, a one-on-one match was announced for this week. Both Nakamura and Tonga seemed to be evenly matched. After some back-and-forth, Shinsuke Nakamura managed to pick up the win thanks to some help from his tag team partner, Kyoki.
Thanks for the submission!
After the match, Nakamura seemed to swiftly retreat along with Kyoki as Talla Tonga entered the ring.
This week’s edition of WWE SmackDown was pre-taped as the talent will be traveling to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.
The main event of the taped episode of SmackDown will be a match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match. Earlier in the night, the Ring General Gunther and Finn Balor brawled with each other to kick off the show.
