T1 vs Karmine Corp in League of Legends Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage: Who will reach the Semifinals?

T1 are the favorites, and the gap between the two teams is wider than the 1-1 record in 2026 suggests. The Korean side reached the Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage with a 3-1 Swiss record, showed up with a fresh draft pool, and has spent the past week watching the bracket fall its way. Also, Dplus KIA, the only team to beat T1 at this tournament, was eliminated 0-3 by BLG.

What makes T1 tricky in a long series is the range of plans they can execute under Fearless Draft, especially at Worlds, where the team always shines. Faker played five different mid lane champions across T1’s Swiss games, among them LeBlanc, Anivia, Galio, Syndra, and Orianna. And Doran has shown clinical performances in the wins.

KC’s counter-argument is the bot lane. Caliste posted one of the highest damage-per-minute numbers of the Swiss Stage, and Busio is the support most likely to force early skirmishes before T1 settles into its macro game. KC already proved in Paris that they can punish T1 when the game slows down, winning their EWC semifinal 2-1.

Furthermore, T1’s win at Worlds 2026 came against teams such as LOS, CFO, and KOI, but not against any LPL teams. The team also faced fellow LCK team DPlus and lost. So, it will be interesting to see if they can hold up against European giants, KC, who are currently on a great run. On paper, and based on the individual brilliance, T1 should win the battle in the end. Nevertheless, if KC can neutralize the Peyz-Keria threat and outclass the top side, they have a strong chance of an upset.

Prediction: T1 3-1 Karmine Corp

Previous results

T1 opened LoL Worlds 2026 with a comfortable win over LOS that closed in under 25 minutes, then lost a best-of-one to Dplus KIA after conceding the decisive Elder Dragon fight. They responded by beating CTBC Flying Oyster and sweeping Movistar KOI.

  • Loss vs Dplus KIA (Swiss Round 2)
  • Win vs CTBC Flying Oyster (Swiss Round 3)

KC have taken the longest road of any quarterfinalist, starting in the Worlds 2026 Play-In. They needed five games to get past Cloud9, swept MVK Esports 3-0 (twice), then survived a Swiss Stage with a 3-2 record.

  • Win vs Anyone’s Legend (Swiss Round 1)
  • Loss vs LYON (Swiss Round 2)
  • Loss vs Bilibili Gaming (Swiss Round 3)
  • Win 2-0 vs CTBC Flying Oyster (Swiss Round 4)

Head-to-head record

T1 and KC have met three times, and T1 leads the series record 2-1. At MSI 2026 in June, T1 swept KC 3-0. In July, at the Esports World Cup in Paris, KC turned it around in the semifinal, winning 2-1. The earlier entry in the record is a T1 win in the Red Bull League of Its Own showmatch in December 2024.
