Mutations in Throw Food For Animals increase the earnings rate and change the appearance of the affected pet. A creature can possess a single mutation, which gives it a golden, diamond, emerald, ruby, or rainbow skin. The odds of getting these value and cosmetic modifiers vary depending on the type of throw, with a Lucky Throw offering better chances than a Normal Throw.
As of Update 1, players can get five different mutations in Throw Food For Animals. Each mutation has a multiplier that multiplies a creature’s income rate, making it earn more money than its standard variant.
All mutations in Throw Food For Animals
Gold, Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, and Rainbow are the five mutations in Throw Food For Animals. A mutation’s effect can stack with the size benefits of a creature. For instance, a Large Raven that already earns more than a regular-sized Raven can get any mutation that amplifies its generated income per second.
Normal Throws can attract pets with mutations. However, a Lucky Throw has higher odds of giving you mutated pets. Increase your Throw Power, purchase a high-tier food item, and purchase the Lucky Throw power-up (Robux-exclusive) before a throw to improve your chances of getting mutated critters.
The odds of getting a mutated pet depend on both a throw’s type and your Luck multiplier. Purchase high-tier food items and increase the throwing power to naturally raise the Luck stat.
Here are all the mutations, along with their effects:
Gold
The Gold mutation gives a sparkling golden skin to the affected pet and raises its income rate by a 1.5x multiplier.
Diamond
A pet with this mutation has a crystal-like skin. Moreover, its earnings are increased by a 3.0x multiplier.
Emerald
The Emerald mutation turns the affected pet green. Additionally, it increases the critter’s earnings by a 5.0x multiplier.
Ruby
The Ruby mutation gives a red, ruby-like appearance to a pet and increases its earnings by a 10.0x multiplier.
Rainbow
The Rainbow mutation offers the best effects. It gives a multi-colored appearance to the pet and increases its earnings by a 20.0x multiplier.
You can view the chance of getting a mutated pet from a throw by pressing the “Details” button. It only appears while you’re preparing a throw on the map.
How to get mutations in Throw Food For Animals

Mutations are entirely based on your Luck multiplier. There are no weather events or machines that apply mutations to pets as of Update 1.
Increase Throwing Power by training. The higher the power, the longer the distance travelled by the thrown item and the higher the throw’s Luck multiplier. Your thrown item gains Luck as it covers more distance in the air.
