Julius Randle found himself at the centre of attention during the Brooklyn Nets’ first win of the year. In the 98-90 victory over the Indiana Pacers, Randle was involved in a rare on-court confrontation that quickly caught the attention of fans online.
The moment came in the fourth quarter after Randle committed a hard foul on Larry Nance Jr. Jalen Slawson stepped in for his teammate and appeared to say something to Randle. However, the Nets forward had no interest in indulging in the confrontation and immediately fired a warning back at him.
Thanks for the submission!
“Shut your b*tch a** up, do something,” Randle said.

The exchange left fans amused, mostly because Randle is not someone who is often seen getting into these kinds of confrontations. Some wondered whether there was a reason players generally avoid testing him, while others were simply surprised by how clearly his response was picked up by the hot mic.
“Literally No One Has EVER Tried Randle His ENTIRE Career They Must Know Some We Dont 😂😂,” @MrBet50Cent said.
Julius Randle also made his presence felt on the court, helping Brooklyn finally snap its five-game losing streak. He finished with 20 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while posting a game-best +17 box plus-minus in the eight-point win.
Julius Randle reacts to upcoming Madison Square Garden return
The Brooklyn Nets will head to Madison Square Garden on Monday for the second night of a back-to-back against the New York Knicks. The matchup will mark Julius Randle’s first time facing his former team while wearing a Nets uniform, adding another layer to an already heated rivalry.
Randle knows his return to the Garden will draw plenty of attention, and he seemed to look forward to it.
“I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun,” Randle said during his postgame interview.
Brooklyn struggled badly against New York last season, losing all four meetings, including blowout defeats of 134-98 and 120-66 at Madison Square Garden. Randle, however, had little interest in looking back at what happened before he arrived.
“I don’t know nothing about it, to be honest,” Randle said. “I live in the present, baby. How do you walk in tomorrow in the present? Focus on what we need to do to get a win. Build off of what we did today. And stick together as a group.”
