Tom Cruise spent Monday night at Tropicana Field, watching the Milwaukee Brewers move within one win of their first World Series title. However, Cruise wasn’t the only celebrity in attendance. Apart from him, broadcaster Dick Vitale and rapper Yung Gravy were in attendance for Game 3.
It was Tom Cruise’s first appearance at a baseball game since Game 2 of the 2021 National League Division Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Brewers won 10-1 in Game 3 of the World Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, taking a 3-0 series lead.
Fans reacted to the celebrity sightings on social media, especially seeing Tom Cruise in the ballpark.

All of it played out in front of an announced crowd of 40,388. The ballpark also included a loud block of Milwaukee Brewers supporters who broke the otherwise stunned silence once Milwaukee’s eight-run fifth inning turned the game into a rout.
Kevin Cash Urges Rays to Keep Fighting With World Series Hopes on the Line
Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash did not pretend the 10-1 defeat was anything else. “It’s definitely deflating. How could it not be?” he said after the game. Asked how Tampa Bay approaches Game 4, he reached for a poker comparison.
“It’s kind of that ‘chip and a chair’ mentality. We’ve got a seat at the table. We’ve got to do something with the chip,” Cash said. “Obviously, the only thing we can do is win tomorrow.”
Kevin Cash urged his players to stay determined and focus on winning the next game, framing it as the team’s only option. The history behind the task is unforgiving. Across best-of-seven postseason series, only the 2004 Boston Red Sox have overturned a 3-0 deficit.
Cash also credited Milwaukee’s Jackson Chourio, who went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base. “He’s a really good player, very good hitter, seeing the ball well right now,” Cash said. “I think he got three hits on three different pitches. Covering a bunch of pitches.”
The Rays will hand the ball to Griffin Jax for Game 4 on Tuesday night. Jax, speaking to the Associated Press, said he would put the deficit out of his mind and that the team would sleep off the loss and return ready to fight.
Milwaukee, now 10-1 this postseason, can clinch the championship on Tuesday at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay’s first World Series home game since 2008 ended with the Rays held to three hits, and their season now rests on winning four straight games.
